- 1 pound bread French or sour dough (round loaf)
- 2 tablespoon garlic minced
- 2 cup pepper Jack cheese shredded
- ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
- 2 tablespoon butter softened
- 2 teaspoon oregano dry (or 2 Tablespoons fresh, chopped)
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Cut the bread into thick slices.
Mix the garlic, cheeses, and oregano in a medium sized bowl with a spoon until incorporated.
Before adding the cheese to the bread slice tops, you will butter the bottoms of all the slices. This will help the bread to brown and toast on the bottom.
Add all the cheese mixture to the tops of the slices, piling high, making sure to evenly distribute.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is nice and melty. Turn the oven on broil for about 2 minutes in order to brown the tops, making sure to keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
