Ingredients

  • 1 pound bread French or sour dough (round loaf)
  • 2 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 cup pepper Jack cheese shredded
  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoon butter softened
  • 2 teaspoon oregano dry (or 2 Tablespoons fresh, chopped)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 F.
  • Cut the bread into thick slices.
  • Mix the garlic, cheeses, and oregano in a medium sized bowl with a spoon until incorporated.
  • Before adding the cheese to the bread slice tops, you will butter the bottoms of all the slices. This will help the bread to brown and toast on the bottom.
  • Add all the cheese mixture to the tops of the slices, piling high, making sure to evenly distribute.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is nice and melty. Turn the oven on broil for about 2 minutes in order to brown the tops, making sure to keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
