Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder, more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • In a large skillet brown ground beef. When almost browned, add garlic and blend in.
  • Once ground beef is browned, spoon out any extra fat from the pan, taking care not to remove any of the garlic pieces.
  • Add tomato paste, water, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, onion powder, and chili powder and blend.
  • Increase heat so mixture begins to simmer. Turn down heat to low and let simmer for 45-50 minutes.
  • You can serve right away or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
  • Serve on hot dogs, brats, pasta, or baked potatoes. Pairs well with coleslaw.
