Cheese Toast Recipe (quick & easy)
This cheese toast recipe is loaded with three types of cheese and is so quick and easy! Such a garlicky cheesy toast - your eyes might roll back in your head. It's that good!
Servings: 6 servings
- 1 pound bread French or sour dough (round loaf)
- 2 Tbsp garlic minced
- 2 cup pepper Jack cheese shredded
- ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
- 2 Tbsp butter softened
- 2 tsp oregano dry (or 2 Tablespoons fresh, chopped)
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Cut the bread into thick slices.
Mix the garlic, cheeses, and oregano in a medium sized bowl with a spoon until incorporated.
Before adding the cheese to the bread slice tops, you will butter the bottoms of all the slices. This will help the bread to brown and toast on the bottom.
Add all the cheese mixture to the tops of the slices, piling high, making sure to evenly distribute.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is nice and melty. Turn the oven on broil for about 2 minutes in order to brown the tops, making sure to keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
