These small sandwiches are easy, cheesy, and so flavorful! Your family or guests will gobble them up!

💖Why You'll Love These Chicken Sliders

  • Easy - All you need to do is cut the rolls in half, add your prepared ingredients, and bake for a short time. Using cooked chicken, like a rotisserie chicken, along with pre-made ranch dressing, will make the process even easier.
  • Universally Loved - Who does love chicken along with bacon, ranch dressing, and cheese? The ingredients in these chicken sliders are loved by even the pickiest eaters.
  • Serve a crowd - The recipe as written makes 12 sliders, but you can easily double or triple the recipe depending on how many you are serving.

🥘Bacon Chicken Slider Ingredients

What You'll Need:

📖 Ingredient Notes / Variations

  • Cheese: I used colby jack cheese slices, but you could also use cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack slices if you wish.
  • Chicken: I used cooked chicken, specifically a rotisserie chicken, in order to save time. If you have raw chicken, you can certainly cook it and either shred or chop into small pieces before making this recipe. You can also use leftover turkey for this recipe.
  • Rolls: I used potato rolls that were marked down in the deli department of my grocery store, but you can use any kind of rolls you have on hand, including the kind that come connected in a package.

🔪 Making Ranch Chicken Sliders

Step 1: Slice rolls in half between top and bottom. Cook bacon until crispy. Drain, crumble. Preheat oven to 400, and melt butter with garlic powder as oven heats.

Step 2: Line bottoms of rolls on large baking sheet. Top each with a generous layer of ranch dressing.

Step 3: Add a liberal amount of chicken to each of the bottom roll pieces.

Step 4: Top the chicken with even amounts of crumbled bacon and chopped onion, drizzling with ranch dressing over top.

Step 5: Top with cheese slices, then add the roll tops.

Step 6: Brush tops of rolls liberally with melted garlic butter. Cook 15-20 minutes or until rolls are browned and cheese is melty.

💭 Expert Cooking Tips

  • Lining the baking sheets with parchment paper is recommended, but not mandatory. This helps with the transfer of the sandwiches once done and also keeps the baking sheets clear from melted cheese.
  • Prepping all the ingredients beforehand is highly recommended in order to streamline the process. This includes cooking the bacon, chopping the onions, and pulling the chicken from the bones (if using a rotisserie chicken).

🧐 Recipe FAQs

Can Chicken Sliders be made ahead of time?

Yes, you can make these a day or two before and keep them in the refrigerator until time to heat up.

How many sliders should I plan per person?

I have estimated 2 sliders per person with this recipe, so if you plan to have 6 people, this recipe should work just fine. You will have heartier eaters and some who may not eat one. If you double this recipe, you should have enough for 12 people. Plan based on your group.
